Adobe sees a bright future as AI bet pays off

Adobe has reported its latest earnings, highlighting a notable increase in annual profits driven by the company’s integration of generative AI into its creative software ecosystem. For the fiscal year 2025, Adobe achieved a record revenue of $23.77 billion, representing an 11 percent year-over-year growth. This growth is largely attributed to the company’s AI initiatives, despite a decline in its share price of over 37 percent this year.

In a press release, Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen emphasized the company’s rising significance in the global AI landscape and pointed to the rapid adoption of its AI-driven tools. For the upcoming fiscal year 2026, Adobe aims to boost its annual recurring revenue (ARR) by 10.2 percent by further developing its generative and agentic platforms and expanding its customer base.

Over the past two years, Adobe has fully committed to AI, launching the Firefly family of generative AI models tailored for image, video, and audio applications in its creative and marketing solutions. According to the earnings report, revenue influenced by AI now constitutes more than one-third of Adobe’s total business operations.

Narayen also noted that a key achievement for Adobe this year was establishing partnerships and integrations with major AI ecosystems, including AWS, Azure, Google Gemini, HUMAIN, Microsoft Copilot, and OpenAI. This approach suggests that Adobe is focusing on collaboration and integration with third-party technologies in response to competition from other AI providers in the creative industry. It raises questions about how effectively these partnerships will support Adobe’s long-term growth in an evolving market.
