Paramount Plus has announced a price increase set to take effect on January 15, 2026. The ad-supported Essential plan will rise from $7.99 to $8.99 per month, while the ad-free Premium plan will increase from $12.99 to $13.99. In light of this upcoming change, the service is currently offering a promotional deal for Black Friday, allowing both new and returning subscribers to sign up for a two-month subscription at a reduced rate of $2.99 per month. This promotion lowers the Essential plan price by $5 and the Premium plan by $10, and the offer is valid until December 2.
Both subscription plans provide access to a library of over 40,000 TV episodes and movies. Some of the featured content includes the latest season of Landman, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, as well as classic titles like The Naked Gun, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, and South Park. Additionally, subscribers can watch live sports, such as all UEFA Champions League games and certain NFL games. The service offers 20 curated live channels and supports three simultaneous streams with up to six user profiles, including options for children.
The Premium plan includes all features of the Essential plan and expands access to the complete Showtime library, which features shows like The Chi, Dexter: Resurrection, and all seasons of Yellowjackets. The Premium plan also includes films such as The Substance, Talk To Me, Infinite, and Past Lives. Furthermore, it provides support for streaming select titles in 4K UHD with Dolby Vision or HDR10 Plus, 24/7 live CBS news, and the option to download shows and movies for offline viewing.
