Nomad has introduced updated versions of its Stand One and Stand One Max hubs, which now support the Qi2.2 standard. This enhancement allows for faster wireless charging rates of up to 25W when used with compatible smartphones, including the Pixel 10 Pro XL and the iPhone 16 and 17 series. The new models maintain the design aesthetics of their predecessors, featuring a combination of glass and CNC-machined aluminum for durability. A braided USB-C cable is included, but users must provide their own 40W USB-C charger. Nomad noted that many consumers might already have multiple power adapters, and including additional ones could lead to unnecessary waste.
The updated Stand One is priced at $119 and is currently available through Nomad’s online store in silver and carbide color options. It weighs 575 grams (over 1.2 pounds) and features an additional wireless charging pad integrated into its base. This pad is designed to charge AirPods and other compatible wireless headphones at a rate of 5W.
Similarly, the Stand One Max model is now sold for $159 and also offers Qi2.2 compatibility. It is available in carbide and silver colors and retains the updated design from its predecessor, which accommodates smartphones in a horizontal position while charging an Apple Watch simultaneously. The earlier version had a design limitation that prevented this functionality. While the updated Stand One features a dedicated AirPods charging pad, the Stand One Max, weighing 875 grams, continues to support charging for earbuds through an indent behind the Apple Watch charger, allowing most Qi-compatible earbud cases to charge at 5W.
