Users may have encountered a “Device Not Supported” message on their Stream Deck devices recently, a problem likely linked to the use of BarRaider’s plug-ins. These plug-ins reportedly verify whether the StreamDeck.exe application is digitally signed, and it appears that Elgato’s digital signature expired on the preceding day. For users experiencing this issue, a solution was suggested: closing and reopening the Stream Deck app may resolve the problem, provided that users log into Elgato’s marketplace within the app to update the plug-ins.
It has been noted that the issue was checked by colleagues, and operations seemed normal afterward, though Elgato’s digital certificate continued to show as expired. This raises the question of whether a workaround has been implemented by Corsair, which owns the Elgato brand.
Further communication included an update from BarRaider, along with an apology for the inconvenience. Additionally, Elgato addressed the situation directly in their official Discord channel.
