Nothing’s Ear Open earbuds are back under $100 right now

The Nothing Ear Open earbuds are designed for users who spend considerable time commuting, walking, or exercising. These open-ear earbuds fit securely in the outer ear, allowing for ambient awareness while listening. Currently, they are available for $99, which is a $50 discount at both Amazon and the Nothing online store.

This product joins a growing market of open-ear earbuds, which also includes the Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 and Bose Ultra Open. These models prioritize safety by allowing ambient noise in instead of blocking it through passive isolation. This enables users, such as runners and cyclists, to remain aware of their surroundings, including vehicles and pedestrians. However, individuals who wear glasses may find it challenging to wear these earbuds comfortably due to their design.

While the audio quality may not match that of traditional in-ear models, the design of the speaker module helps reduce sound leakage. Each earbud features multiple microphones and employs advanced noise-canceling technology to enhance call clarity. The earbuds also support multipoint Bluetooth connectivity and “Low Lag Mode” for gaming, which can automatically activate if paired with a Nothing Phone or be enabled via the mobile app.

Regarding battery life, Nothing claims the earbuds can last up to eight hours on a single charge, with a total of 30 hours when using the charging case. However, it is important to note that the case does not support wireless charging. A brief 10-minute charge via USB-C can provide approximately two hours of listening time.
