Nellore: On the occasion of Nagula Chavithi, two cobras were observed circling a Shiva Lingam at the Sri Kashi Vishwanath temple near the Cherlopalli railway gate in Manubolu. This incident occurred early Saturday morning, around 1:30 am, as temple priest Srinivasulu was preparing for the annual Subrahmanyeswara Swamy Homam and Abhishekam.

As the serpents moved around the Lingam, they were perceived by the gathered devotees as a significant sign of divinity. After the sighting, the snakes retreated into an anthill located near the sanctum. The priest notified the devotees, many of whom hurried to the temple to witness what they viewed as an auspicious sign for the serpent worship day in Hindu tradition. Devotees subsequently offered coconuts and participated in rituals, interpreting the event as a blessing.
